Remarkably, SECAM to PAL converters need only to be Analogue devices, but they will also allow recording of the conversion too. Ideally, you would want a converter which will convert composite as well as S-video. This is one of the easiest conversions to make and is perfect for anyone with a SECAM Satelite reciever pushing it's signal onto a PAL TV, you would ordinarily get a Stable Black and white picture without a converter. With the converter you will get identically the same picture but in full colour.

Other uses would be for terrestrial SECAM channels being converted to be watched on a PAL TV but a common mistake is made here, you need a SECAM tuner first to define the channels. The cheapest way around this is to buy a SECAM VCR ( Second user would be okay, as long as it has a remote to turn over the channels) and use the Tuner in that to convert the signal to AV then the signal can easily be converted to PAL.

We recommend the model below as it is an analogue world system converter too and it's the same price as a dedicated SECAM to PAL converter anyway. It has other uses here if you need to backup any Video or DVD source to a DVD player, this will help you achieve your goal. A very flexible machine.
